The Doctors

Dentists Who Listen First

Three doctors, three different depths of training, one shared philosophy — treatment plans start with your goals, not our schedule.

Dr. Jaswinder Grewal, D.D.S.

General Dentist · Implant Dentistry · Oral Moderate Sedation · Certified Invisalign Provider

Born into a medical family, Dr. Grewal graduated from dental school in India in 2006, completed a residency, and practiced dentistry there for three years before relocating to Canada in 2011. She earned her D.D.S. Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2014, then established her Ottawa practice.

Her post-graduate training reflects how she practices — comfort-first and comprehensive: an Oral Moderate Sedation certificate from the Academy of General Dentistry, Toronto (2015), and advanced implant training at the Toronto Institute of Dental Excellence (2017–2019). She is also a certified Invisalign provider.

Outside the office, Dr. Grewal volunteers with Dentistry from the Heart and Remote Area Medical, providing complimentary dental care internationally and hosting annual free-dentistry events right here in the community.

Dr. Rebecca Hicks, D.D.S.

General Dentist

Dr. Hicks earned her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences from McMaster University in 2019, graduating Summa Cum Laude, before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2024.

After graduating, she relocated to Canada to be closer to family, bringing fresh, evidence-based training and a naturally warm chairside manner to the practice. When she's not caring for patients, you'll likely find her on a hiking trail — she's a passionate outdoors enthusiast still working through Ottawa's best routes (recommendations welcome).

Dr. Julie Maniate, BSc, DMD, FRCD(C)

Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry · Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Maniate earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Manitoba in 2003, completed a General Practice Residency at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children (2007), and finished her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Yale–New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry — the specialty's highest voluntary credential — and previously served as Clinical Director of undergraduate pediatric dentistry in Winnipeg, training the next generation of dentists in children's care.

Dr. Maniate is passionate about making every dental visit a positive experience, particularly for anxious children and kids with special healthcare needs. She maintains active membership in her professional organizations and, outside dentistry, enjoys teaching, music, art and travel.
