Private & Employer Insurance
We work with all dental insurance plans. Wherever your plan allows assignment of benefits, we bill your insurer directly — you pay only your co-payment portion at the time of treatment, and the paperwork is ours to worry about. Our treatment coordinators will:
- Verify your coverage details before treatment
- Submit pre-authorizations for larger treatments so you know your out-of-pocket cost in advance
- Coordinate secondary coverage (like a spouse's plan) to minimize what you pay
- Time treatment phases around your annual maximums when it helps
One honest note about how insurance works: dental plans reimburse based on the coverage level your employer purchased — your treatment plan is based on what your mouth needs, not what your plan covers. When there's a gap, we'll show you options, including phasing treatment or financing.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
Yes — we accept CDCP patients. The federal Canadian Dental Care Plan, administered by Sun Life, helps cover dental care for Canadians without insurance. You may be eligible if you:
- Have no access to dental insurance
- Have an adjusted family net income under $90,000
- Are a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- Filed a tax return the previous year
Depending on your income bracket, the CDCP covers all or part of eligible services — some patients have a co-payment portion, which we'll explain clearly before treatment. Bring your CDCP member card (or Sun Life letter) to your visit, or add it via our insurance form.
Not yet enrolled in the CDCP?
Apply through the Government of Canada's CDCP page (search "Canadian Dental Care Plan apply"). You'll need your tax information from last year. Once Sun Life confirms your enrollment, call us — we'll get you booked.
No Coverage at All?
You still have good options: transparent written pricing before any treatment, flexible financing to spread costs into monthly payments, and honest prioritization — we'll tell you what needs doing now versus what can safely wait. Prevention is the budget play: a check-up and cleaning cost a fraction of the problems they prevent.
