Dentistry Done Right, Visit After Visit
General dentistry is the foundation everything else is built on. It's the twice-a-year rhythm of exams and cleanings, the small filling done before it becomes a root canal, the honest conversation about what you need — and what you don't. Our dentists, Dr. Jaswinder Grewal and Dr. Rebecca Hicks, have built their reputations in Manotick on exactly that kind of care.

Prevention First, Always
The least expensive, least invasive dental treatment is the one you never need. That's why every plan we build starts with prevention: realistic home-care advice, fluoride where it helps, and check-up intervals matched to your actual risk rather than a fixed rule. When treatment is needed, we explain your options — including the do-nothing option — with clear costs before anything begins.
Comfortable, Modern and Convenient
Every operatory is equipped with low-radiation digital x-rays, and our sterilization protocols meet rigorous hospital-grade standards. Nervous patients can add nitrous oxide or oral sedation to any visit. With Monday evenings, select Saturdays, direct insurance billing and CDCP acceptance, we've removed the usual excuses for putting off the dentist.
Whether you're overdue for a check-up or just moved to Manotick, Riverside South or Barrhaven and need a new dental home, we'd love to meet you.
General Dentistry — Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I see the dentist?
It depends on your mouth, not a one-size-fits-all rule. Many patients do well at six-month intervals; others with healthy gums and no cavity history can stretch longer, while patients with gum disease may need visits every three to four months. We'll recommend an interval based on your actual risk — the goal is catching small problems early.
Do you use amalgam (silver) fillings?
No. Dentistry @ Manotick is an amalgam-free practice. We restore teeth with modern tooth-coloured composite materials that bond strongly, look natural and contain no mercury.
Will my check-up include x-rays every time?
Only when they're useful. A healthy adult without recent cavities typically doesn't need x-rays at every visit. We follow a conservative, evidence-based schedule using low-dose digital x-rays.
Can you fix a chipped or broken tooth?
Yes — depending on the damage, we can repair teeth with bonding, a filling, or a crown, often the same day you call. If a broken tooth is causing pain, treat it as an emergency and call us at (613) 491-3300.
